In June of 1979, the citizens of Marlin Springs, Texas have had enough of the rambunctious “Three Amigos”: Preech Peters, the “brains” of the outfit; Rudy Valencia, the hometown football star; and Kevin Saunders, a boy struggling with the death of his brave dad in Vietnam while being haunted by a cruel stepfather. When these pre-teens aren’t chasing their first passion, fishing, they’re concocting epic pranks at the town’s expense.
